Ellis Craig is a New York based actor currently attending Hofstra University in pursuit of a BFA in performance and minor in musical theatre.

 

Ellis’ work at Hofstra consists of comedies such as Godfrey in “Nothing is the end of the World, except the end of the World”, Macaulay Culkin in the sketch comedy style show “Spin Cycle” as well as finding the light-hearted moments as Rodger Doremus in Tennessee Williams's “Summer and Smoke”.  Most notably, Ellis played one of his favorite roles, Paul Bratter, in Neil Simon’s “Barefoot in the Park".  Recently, Ellis switched gears from comedy to play a more serious role as Romeo in Hofstra University's “This bud of Love”.  Their abridged version of  Romeo and Juliet directed by Rod Gomez.

 

As well as his work onstage, Ellis has taken part in multiple Hofstra extracurriculars such as ‘Thursday Night Live’, and ‘Critical Fail’; Hofstra’s short form improv group.

 

Offstage, Ellis has worked at multiple summer camps  directing children’s theater productions and workshops of ages 6-16 in his hometown of Portland, Maine.

 

In High School, Ellis was a three time consecutive Maine state award all-star cast winner at the regional one act theatre competitions. Thanks for stopping by!
